Etiquette and Good Manners

Etiquette and good manners are the way of showing consideration, care and respect towards others. Etiquette means the rules of correct behavior in society. On the other hand, the word ‘manners’ means polite behavior. So both words have a relationship.

But there is a difference between etiquette and manners. Etiquette is the code of polite behavior that is based on social acceptance. Manners are the behaviors that reflect the attitude of consideration, care, respect and kindness to others. They have a great role in maintaining discipline and peace in our life. They help us to make a better relationship with the people around us. Humans are social beings. So they have to comply with some social norms. They have to give importance to others in their manners. The practice of this quality in social life is very important. It indicates the uniqueness of the human being from other animals.

Good manner is one of the greatest qualities of human character. It creates human mutual harmony. Without it, human love can never be won. It makes life beautiful in society. People can do a lot of good things on earth by showing good manners. We can earn the love of the people. It increases our credibility in society. Moreover, the door to leadership in society is raveled. As a result, there are opportunities to do something great. Family is the best medium for learning etiquette and manners. It is an everlasting fact that children have always loved imitation. That is, they try to learn what they see. This is why it is important for the elderly of the family to be polite so that children can learn politeness in the normal way. Future successes and failures of the child depend on this family education. Etiquette and Manners make our social life peaceful. They increase harmony between people. So we all need to be aware of good manners.
